The Sundanese Language Textbook for Junior High School/MTs is compiled based on the basic principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which includes Learning Objectives (CP) and differentiated learning. The teaching materials selected are essential materials. However, there are teaching materials that are combined because they are considered essential but are not covered in the teaching chapter.
This book serves as a tool for students to develop their Sundanese language and literature skills. The learning material is presented in fiction and non-fiction texts, which include oral texts, written texts, and multimodal texts (a combination of oral, written, and visual texts). Learning activities include listening, reading, writing, storytelling, discussing, and writing.
Based on text form and language skills, this book is divided into five sections:
Panitén Basa, which includes learning activities to understand and master texts through reading, writing, and listening.
Panyungsi Basa, which focuses on learning activities to understand language and literature.
Panggelar Basa, which focuses on learning activities to master language through storytelling, listening, and writing.
Pangwuwuh Basa, which are learning activities to add material to Panggelar Basa, both orally and in writing.
Pangjembar Basa, which are learning activities to provide additional insight to those who have already mastered the language.
The advantage of this book is that it adopts an ethnopedagogical approach with an independent model (starting from oneself, concept exploration, a spirit of collaboration, deep reflection, contextual demonstration, deep elaboration, connections between materials, and real action). To measure students' abilities, at the end of each lesson there is a special section, namely learning assessment, HOTS questions, AKM questions (minimum competency assessment), and projects (pre-projects).
